The Levi Family, from left to right: Maya, Megan, Mitchell, and Joel.
About Joel.
I’m a proud native of Anderson, Indiana, where I attended Indiana Christian Academy through 12th grade, and the proud son of a Kenyan immigrant. From an early age, I learned the value of hard work, resilience, and the importance of community.
Music has always been a part of my life. I studied Music Business at Anderson University, where I met my wife, Megan. We moved to Nashville, Tennessee, so I could work as a professional musician. Those experiences taught me creativity, collaboration, and the discipline required to pursue and achieve my dreams.
During the pandemic, Megan and I made the decision to come back to Central Indiana to raise our family, and we moved to Cicero. We now have a son, Mitchell, who is 7, and a daughter, Maya, who is 1.
Megan is a nurse practitioner, and I work as a pharmacy technician in Noblesville, helping patients every day. Our work in healthcare keeps us closely connected to the real concerns Hoosier families face.
My life experiences, from growing up with an immigrant parent, to building a career in music, to serving families in healthcare, have shaped my commitment to our community.
I understand the challenges that families face, and I am determined to work every day to create safer neighborhoods, stronger schools, and the opportunity for every Hoosier to thrive.
I’m running for Indiana House District 37 to be a voice for all Hoosiers.
